THE BIG ONE: Keneally vs O’Farrell

It was great to see so many interested Newcastle people at City Hall for the New Institute Candidates’ Forum last night.  Over the last weeks, and in the lead up to the election, there will be other fora coming up and some critical reinforcement of the great privilege we all have to be able to take part in the process of electing our representatives to NSW Parliament.

Newcastle people who would like the opportunity to see the state’s main leaders go ‘head to head’ in the beautiful Civic Theatre may like to take note of the information below.

The unique television special, THE BIG ONE: KENEALLY V O’FARRELL, will be filmed in Newcastle on Saturday 19th March and PRIME7 is inviting viewers to be a part of the action and have their say.

THE BIG ONE is unlike any other election program, in that viewers will set the questions put to Premier Kristina Keneally and Opposition Leader Barry O’Farrell.  The filming will take place at the historic Civic Theatre in front of a live studio audience.

Executive Producer and PRIME7 Network News Editor John Rudd said,

“Most pre-election shows deal with city issues and are shot in small city studios.  We have gone exactly the opposite way – a fabulous big theatre in a wonderful regional city.  We are turning the focus of the political debate onto regional issues, issues affecting our viewers, and in doing that we determined that the marginal seat of Newcastle was the best place to stage the battle between the Premier and the Opposition Leader.”

“This is about taking politics to the people”, Rudd added.

Limited audience tickets to THE BIG ONE (free admission) are available by contacting PRIME7 Newcastle on 49520500.

THE BIG ONE: KENEALLY V O’FARRELL will be televised Sunday 20th March, only on PRIME7!
