We’re Back! – Audience event, March 6, 2022

The Newcastle Institute is delighted to announce that we are resuming our monthly meetings – in a new location!

As before, we will meet from 6.00 to 7.30pm on the second Wednesday of the month.  Our new location will be the Newcastle United Sports Club (formerly Adamstown Rosebuds), in Bryant Street Adamstown.  The club facilities include a Chinese Restaurant.

Our first meeting of this year, on March 9th, will feature Professor Julie Byles, who was recently awarded an AO (Officer of the Order of Australia) in recognition of her distinguished service to medical research.  Her research focus is on how people can age well, and the factors that influence and promote healthy ageing. She is the Director of the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health, which has continued over 25 years, and studied the health of more than 57,000 women.

As before, the forum will be live-streamed on our facebook page and a copy available after the event in case you missed it!

We look forward to seeing old and new friends and supporters at this, our steps toward a program of post-covid meetings!
